Plugs and modules of the SL series Cat. 6A

Powerful and above all: Short

Often, data networks need to be installed in extremely confined spaces. This becomes particularly critical when connecting cables to field-attachable RJ45 connectors and modules: For reliable data transmission, the minimum bend radius of the cable must not be exceeded; however, most connectors and modules on the market are relatively long. The SL series from Telegärtner not only provides transmission values that far exceed requirements of the standards, but the connectors and modules are also extremely compact, allowing ample space for correct, interferencefree cable routing.


Connectors and modules from the SL series surpass the requirements of Category 6A for data rates up to and including 10 Gbit/s, both in shielded and unshielded versions. Both are compliant with standards; DIN EN 50173-1:2018-10 specifies requirements for both shielded and unshielded cabling.

MFP8-SL

The MFP8-SL connector offers all the advantages of the proven MFP8 while being only 44 mm long. It integrates cable strain relief and cable shield contact in one operation with the mechanical locking of the housing halves. The MFP8-SL is ideal for applications in confined spaces, such as in IP camera enclosures or in distribution panels with particularly high packing densities, and is suitable for directly connecting WLAN access points to walls and ceilings.
Ease of assembly distinguishes the MFP8-SL connector:

  • Fits in WiFi access points (limited space for interfaces) 
  • Fits in small IP camera enclosures
  • Fits in small wallbox-enclosures (charging infrastructure)

UFP8 Cat.6A

The UFP8 Cat.6A is the RJ45 plug for time-saving and reliable field assembly, suitable for all networks from voice to 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It can be assembled onto all common cable types in just 60 seconds - without special tools: 

  • Simple insertion and removal operations in tight spaces
  • Effective protection of contacts against contamination and transport damage
  • Only 44 mm long
  • Standardized mating face - according to EN 60603-7-41
  • Suitable for conductor cross-sections AWG 27/7 - 22/7; AWG 24/1 - 22/1
  • 4-chamber wire manager - available with color code T568A or T568B
  • Suitable for cable diameters from 5.5 to 8.5 mm
